Meet the Characters: Meg Giry

The Guardian of the Opera: Nocturne is out this Friday!  That’s only two days away, and I’m counting down this week by introducing some of the principal characters, one each day.  Today I’m highlighting the heroine of my version, although not most – my book gives Meg the chance to have and to tell her own story.

Meet the Characters: Christine Daae

The Guardian of the Opera: Nocturne is out this Friday!  That’s just three days away, and I’m counting down this week by introducing some of the principal characters, one each day.  Today’s featured character is Christine Daae, the beautiful singer who captures the Phantom’s heart – but did she mean to do it?

Meet the Characters: Raoul de Chagny

The Guardian of the Opera: Nocturne is out this Friday!  That’s four days away, and I’m counting down this week by introducing some of the principal characters, one each day.  Today I’m featuring Raoul, the Vicomte de Chagny, usually the hero of the story but…well, I shift the focus a bit!

Meet the Characters: Madame Giry

The Guardian of the Opera: Nocturne is out this Friday!  That’s five days away, and I’m counting down this week by introducing some of the principal characters, one each day.  We’re starting off with Madame Giry – a little more important in my version than most, because she is, after all, my heroine’s mother.

Quotable: Embracing One’s Story

As the release of my book Nocturne approaches, I’m offering a few glimpses of the story by sharing some quotes.  Today’s quote reflects one aspect of Meg’s journey as a character – the Phantom represents exciting, impossible things to her, and she’s always wanted to know more about him.  Her journey over the course of the trilogy, though, is to take ownership of her own story.
