Today’s Book Blogger Hop question is: What upcoming titles are looking forward to reading in 2018?
Well, I wrote about this in my end of the year review, and I’m excited about a lot of books coming out from my writer friends. And just the other day, I heard about another very exciting book coming out…Tempests and Slaughter by Tamora Pierce, the long (looooong) awaited first book of the Numair Chronicles, which has been delayed so many times I gave up hoping about it!
Seriously, this has been pushed back year by year since 2013. But Goodreads has a very near date, and I hear substantiated rumors that review copies are being sent out. We finally, finally, finally get another Tortall story! Super exciting book to look forward to–and I am #6 in line on the library’s hold list. 😀
Well, I’m really glad to hear a title that has been pushed back even more times than one of my own! I’m obviously in good company after all.
The only books I know I’ll read in 2018 are the ones I added to my Official TBR Pile Reading Challenge list – and I’m looking forward to most of those – especially the ones that are second last in series. I’m not sure I’m actually looking forward to finishing those series (which is another reading challenge I’m doing)
I don’t usually think about particular titles to read that I’m looking forward to. Guess that’s because I really don’t have any “favorite” authors. I tend to browse for new titles or read something because I heard the author interviewed or heard the book discussed. I am reading right now the book that A LOT of people are talking about – “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House,” by Michael Wolff. I’m nearly half-way through that. It may not be entirely accurate, but it’s plausible, after what we’ve seen of Trump for a year now. It’s of interest to me because it’s the book that precipitated the fall of Steve Bannon.
