Saturday Snapshot: Forty Bookish Shades of Green

Just for fun for St. Patrick’s Day, forty shades of green pulled from my bookcases.

I love how eclectic the books ended up being, when I selected them by something as random as color–everything from Walden to Peanuts, Beverly Cleary to Terry Pratchett to William Shakespeare.  I guess you can’t judge a book by its spine!

  1. Oh! Love it! When I have room enough to buy new bookcases for by books I intend to arrange them by color, not by author. It’s so decorative and really adds to the interior design. 🙂

  2. Ha! What a fun idea! I loved Caddie Woodlawn … did it as a read-aloud with my daughters when they were young … and Rebecca … oh what a romantic read!

  3. Oh, wow, that is SUCH a cool idea! And it’s an interesting way to take a snapshot of your collection (and reading tasters). I enjoyed seeing what all your green books are.

  4. That’s a lot of green books! Now I’m tempted to pull books of various colours off my own shelves and see if I can find enough of each to make a decent picture.

How appropriate for today! Makes me want to go look at my bookshelves to see how many green ones are there. Have a fun weekend!

    1. Mine are not arranged by color (although that would be so pretty!) so the real trick of this photo was to get them all back on the shelves afterwards, in their correct, alphabetical-by-genre places!
