I’ve posted a time or two about my knitting projects… Well, I recently decided I didn’t want to knit another scarf, and I had a somewhat inexplicable hankering for fingerless gloves.
So what did I do? Naturally I Googled “how to knit easy fingerless gloves” (and I’m pretty sure I landed on this video). Here’s the result:
They’re comfy too, even if it’s too warm to really wear them yet… And they’re my best project yet for sounding complicated when they really weren’t! It turns out you can knit fingerless gloves even if you can only knit rectangles…

I love the color. I’ve been looking for a new knitting project, so I may just try these!
So fun! And if you ever want knitting book recommendations…. I have books I love that use mostly squares, and books that are good at explaining increases and decreased to beginners.
Ooh, that sounds good! What’s your favorite knitting book? Maybe my library will have it!
Well, for the basics with good pictures and fun but easy projects, I think Stitch N Bitch by Debbie Stoller is great. For projects that have fun knitting lots of square things, I like Mason Dixon Knitting by Kay Gardiner and Ann Shayne.
They’re sensational! You did a great job, and I do love how you matched your gloves to your nail polish… That’s important. But these remind me of a pair of gloves that I saw in Hobart airport last year. I meant to go back to the shop to buy them (I live in a cold place too, and always have cold hands), but I forgot. They were pink and pretty. I’m not much of a knitter, (it’s seriously been decades) I wonder if I could manage this? Hmmm. Although my mother can knit.
Ah, you noticed the nail polish! 🙂 If you can knit the most basic stitch, you can do these. Watch the video–it’s super simple!
I like the length will keep out the wind! Nice job!
I love fingerless gloves, and those are really nice. What stitch did you use? Is it a twisted rib? My Snapshot is at http://goo.gl/XT7zg4
Just a standard knit stitch…or maybe it’s a cable stitch? I only know the one stitch, and can purl a bit.
I love those! I crochet, but can’t knit to save my life! Great job!
Those look lovely! May you enjoy them immensely when the weather’s cool enough for them!
Wow! Those look quite impressive!
